Reiki, pronounced ‘ray-key’, is a natural energy-balancing method of healing. Reiki energy, described as ‘universal life energy’, is accessed through non-invasive gentle touch. This ‘spiritual energy’ enhances the body’s natural self-healing ability, increases energy levels and promotes relaxation and wellbeing.
Reiki treatments are available in person and through distant healing. Book a free 30-minute consultation with Sarah to understand how you can work together to transform your life!
The Benefits of Reiki
Reiki may aid the following:
Treating body, mind and spirit, developing spiritual and personal growth
Removing energy blockages and restoring balance on all levels
Improving feelings of peace, wellbeing and self-esteem
Promoting deep relaxation and improved sleep
Reducing stress levels and tension
Easing depression and anxiety
Providing relief from the pain of illness and/or injury
Navigating through infertility
Coping with grief, loss and trauma
Improving clarity of thought and decision making
The practitioner creates the opportunity and empowers each person to release and heal their own blockages and imbalances. Being ready to make changes and trusting the process leads to the best results, also bringing clarity on next steps.
What Happens During a Treatment
Reiki is conducted in silence, fully clothed on a treatment table. Gentle background music aids deep relaxation. The practitioner rests their hands in a series of light, non-intrusive hand positions covering the head and body; energy flows through the practitioner’s hands into the body.
Please be aware that a medical diagnosis or prognosis will not be provided.
What a Reiki Treatment Feels Like
Heat may be felt from the practitioner’s hands. Coolness or mild tingling could be experienced. Some aches, pains or emotions might come to the surface. Coloured lights or images may be seen in the mind, floating or very heavy feelings could be felt. This is part of the self-healing process and is perfectly normal; the body is releasing what it no longer needs.
How Long it Takes for the Healing to Work
Healing can occur immediately, or it may take much longer for these changes to integrate within the body. Sometimes it’s only apparent something has shifted when problems are responded to differently.
